How to pay an invoice (card or PayFast)
Webway accepts two payment methods: card payments through Stripe, and PayFast, which covers every method PayFast supports. We don't accept manual bank transfers (EFT) to our bank account. If you want to pay by EFT, use PayFast's instant EFT option.
Find the invoice
- Log in to the client area at portal.webway.host.
- Go to Billing → My Invoices.
- Unpaid invoices are marked Unpaid. Click the invoice number to open it.
- The invoice shows the amount, due date and a Payment Method dropdown with a Pay Now button.
Invoices are also emailed to your account address when issued and again before the due date. If you don't see them, check spam and check your email address under your account details.
Pay by card (Stripe)
- Open the invoice and choose Stripe (Credit/Debit card) in the payment method dropdown.
- Click Pay Now.
- Enter the card details, or choose a saved card.
- Complete your bank's verification step (3D Secure) if prompted. This is a one-time PIN or app approval from your bank, not from Webway.
- The invoice is marked Paid immediately, and any suspended service is reactivated within a few minutes.
To save a card for future invoices, tick the option to store it, or add it under Billing → Payment Methods → Add New Credit Card. A card paid through Stripe is stored securely by Stripe and charged automatically when invoices are due, so services don't lapse.
Pay with PayFast
PayFast lets you pay with the methods it supports, including credit and debit cards, instant EFT, QR code payments through your banking app, Capitec Pay, Zapper, SnapScan, SCode and more. PayFast processes payments in South African rand, so use it for ZAR invoices.
- Open the invoice and choose Payfast (Credit/Debit card, instantEFT, Capitec Pay, SnapScan, Zapper & more) in the dropdown.
- Click Pay Now. You're sent to PayFast.
- Choose your method and complete the payment.
- You're returned to the client area. The invoice is marked Paid as soon as PayFast confirms, usually within a minute. Some methods, such as instant EFT, can take a few minutes.
Paying from outside South Africa
Invoices are raised in the currency your account was set up with: ZAR, GBP, EUR, USD, CAD, AUD or NZD. ZAR prices include VAT; other currencies carry no VAT. Card payments through Stripe work in every currency. PayFast is for ZAR invoices.
Add credit to your account
You can prepay into your account balance and let invoices draw from it: Billing → Add Funds.
