How to check a client's disk, bandwidth and resource usage in DirectAdmin

Check the client list

  1. Sign in to DirectAdmin on port 2222.
  2. Confirm that you are at Reseller level.
  3. Open Account Manager → List Users.
  4. Find the client's username or domain.
  5. Review the disk and bandwidth figures shown.
  6. Select the user for more detail.

Compare current usage with the limits in the user's package.

Check detailed resource usage

  1. Open Account Manager → List Users.
  2. Find the client.
  3. Choose Login as that user.
  4. Open Extra Features → Resource Usage.
  5. Review current usage and historical faults.
  6. Return to reseller level when finished.

The default per-account limits are 2 GB memory, 30 entry processes and 90 processes. Disk and bandwidth limits depend on the package.

Repeated faults matter more than one brief spike.

Find common causes

High disk usage: full mailboxes, old backups, large logs, website caches, staging sites, duplicate website files, database exports.

High bandwidth: large downloads, unoptimised images or videos, bots and crawlers, public backup files, hotlinked content.

Resource-limit faults: slow PHP code, heavy WordPress plugins, frequent cron jobs, large imports, image processing, traffic bursts, compromised applications.

Change the client's package

  1. Return to reseller level.
  2. Open Account Manager → List Users.
  3. Select the client.
  4. Choose Change Package.
  5. Select the new package and save.
  6. Confirm the updated limits.
