Transfer a domain to Webway

This guide will walk you through the process of transferring your domain to Webway

Prerequisites

Ensure that before transferring your domain, you have a full account backup from your current web host.
Ensure that you have ordered a hosting package from Webway and that your backup from your previous web host has been restored

Transfer your domain

To get started transferring your domain to Webway, visit the following link and input the domain name that you'd like to transfer in the domain name text box
Some domains require an EPP code before a transfer is possible. If the domain you're transferring requires an EPP code, you'll be presented with a popup box requiring you to enter the EPP code for your domain. You can get this EPP from your current domain host. If your domain does not require an EPP code, you'll be presented with a screen where you can input the nameservers for your domain (leave as is if you intend hosting with Webway). You can now click on the Continue button.
You'll now be able to login to your existing account with Webway or create a new account. You can select your payment method, agree to the terms and conditions and click on the Checkout button.
Depending on the domain extension (.com, co.za, .co.uk, .ca etc) you will either need to accept the domain transfer (generally by clicking on the accept link in an email you'll receive from the registry)

Note: The length of time it takes for a transfer to complete depends on a number of factors:

Which domain extension is being transferred

Whether or not you clicked on accept in an email received from your current registrar (if any email). If you received an email to accept the transfer, the time it takes for your domain to transfer is generally between a couple of minutes and a few hours. It should be noted that domain transfers can take up to a few days to complete.

Note: It should be noted that depending on the domain extension (.com, .co.za, .co.uk, .ca etc), transferring a domain can either result in the domain being renewed for a year or simply transferred to us.
